Our backward swept impeller design with splitter blades puts the peak efficiency on a stable part of the curve. Having a higher rise to surge allows for safer operation hroughout the entire flow range. Radial or Forward Swept impellers are most efficient near surge conditions and are susceptible to tripping the blower off or causing damage.
